Experts committed to the success of your

Our engagements

Every project counts, reflecting our commitment to overall excellence in the exhibition industry

Our solutions are naturally designed for easy assembly by yourself, and you can take them with you in your car, train, and even on the plane. Wherever you exhibit, you’ll be self-sufficient and ready to go.

We simplify your life by providing you with all the information you need about our solutions, services, templates, and of course, transparent and all-inclusive pricing.

Innovation is not just about technological revolution; it is ingrained in our mindset. We prioritize environmental sustainability, both in the design of our solutions and in their ability to adapt to your needs while ensuring long-lasting durability.

Durability and reliability are paramount. On the big day, your kiosk will stand strong, proudly displaying your brand and messages, supporting your sales whenever you need it.

Price is always an important factor, but we believe that offering you exactly what you truly need is the most cost-effective approach.

The key point is the return on investment. Is your message effective? Is the targeted trade show the best fit for your growth ambitions? These are major questions, and we can help you find the answers.

Providing you with the best is not enough if your product doesn’t arrive on time. We have established an organization whose cornerstone is anticipation and a thorough understanding of your project.

We are always mindful of selecting solutions that have minimal impact on the environment.

Our history

The reasons that have made us what we are, determined to strengthen our skills to offer the best.

It all started in 1996 with the creation of a wood lamination company at the age of 27 in a Lorraine village located in the northeast of France.

If you are not familiar with this technique, it comes from Quebec. It involves fixing a printed image on a Medium-density fibreboard (MDF) surface and adding a finish to the thickness of the wood by thermally transferring a color chosen by the customer. The primary application was primarily for decoration.

The Revolution of Large Format
Digital Printing

In 1997 large format printing was just in its early stages, and there were no suitable display supports available for these large format images. However, laminating presented an opportunity as it was primarily used for decorative purposes, which opened doors for us in the exhibition and retail industries.

In the retail market, we were able to secure contracts with major brands such as producing merchandise for Warner Bros, creating interactive floor tiles for the 1998 FIFA World Cup, and providing Point-of-Sale displays for the launch of Apple’s brand-new iMac in Fnac stores across France.

In the exhibition industry, large format printing revolutionized how businesses presented themselves. It became possible to print a single large-scale image individually, allowing companies to express and display their messages in their brand colors at a more affordable cost. However, there were no suitable image display supports available in the market at that time.

In 1998, the first image supports resembled the toys found in Kinder eggs. The packaging was difficult to open, the assembly instructions were incomprehensible, and the number of pieces was inversely proportional to the expected function.

Just as we do today, we had to choose reliable manufacturers with innovative potential to offer our customers new solutions that exceed the expectations of end-users.

The Canadian Adventure or the Discovery of the North American Market

En 2008, I embarked on a journey to Canada with a clear objective: to develop a network of resellers for one of the largest manufacturers of exhibition solutions.

The challenge lay in understanding the cultural nuances between the two continents, assessing the market and its potential by taking stock of the available solutions, and highlighting the strengths of European solutions.

I was surprised to see the abundance of low-quality solutions flooding the market, where the primary criterion was price. The providers of these solutions offered few sales tools and even fewer marketing strategies.

Our approach was focused on education rather than just sales. It was evident that we needed to value our solutions by emphasizing training. Our well-trained resellers felt confident in offering solutions they mastered.

To ensure loyalty through innovative and high-quality offerings, our rule was to provide new, reliable, and durable solutions to our clients. That was our promise.

Although the battle was tough, we couldn’t convince the majority of our resellers to restrict their product range. Out of fear of losing sales, many of them offered an eclectic assortment. That’s why, today, The Portable Company exclusively offers relevant solutions that cover all your needs.

How does this benefit you?
– Assurance of innovative and reliable products.
– Products that are repairable and can evolve over the years.
– The ability to make the right decision about which solution to prioritize, thanks to solid information.
– A perfect knowledge of the products.
